"Clerks" was Kevin Smith's very first film ever made and one of the most successful to this day and age. The movie is about Dante Hicks (Brian O'Halloran) and Randall Graves (Jeff Anderson) who work at the Quick Stop and RST Video (both stores next door to each other). Dante Hicks gets called into work on his day off, so his day is spent in the purgatory of serving a succession of customers while bemoaning the fact that "I'm not even supposed to be here today." His best friend, Randall is less dedicated to his job at RST Video and usually spends most of his time going next door and bothering the customers at Quick Stop and to hang out with Dante. So the whole day goes on with many turning events from playing hockey on the roof top of the store to Dante getting stuck between his current girlfriend Veronica (Marilyn Ghigliotti) and his ex-girlfriend Caitlin Bree (Lisa Spoonhauer). Other than the turn of events this is the movie that introduces the debut of our favorite stoners, Jay & Silent Bob (Jason Mewes and Kevin Smith) who enjoy hanging out in front of the stores selling weed. This movie is a total classic and just excellent. Of course this was also the beginning of Kevin Smith's career as he went on to do spin-off movies of Jay & Silent Bob. Overall, fantastic!
