a pleasant surprise

Warning: Spoilers
surprisingly, i actually like this movie, as it encapsulated - though rather exaggerated, and very stereotypically - the essence of homophobia, and closet homosexual, and self-loathing in the Muslim community, in this case the Turkish family in Germany.

i especially love the scene where lola, hinted to bili that the reason why she has been postponing/doubting the gender reassignment surgery is because she knows that deep down, bili is a homosexual.

though the story about iskander and von skeect was a little rushed, but it was a nice touch.

the acting were great, the script was all right, and it was a pleasant surprise.
