Review:

Punisher: War Zone is a reboot of the 2004 version named Pnisher, and is just as dumb and inadequate as it. Although cast as the new Punisher, Ray Stevenson brings no life or soul to the character or even the story. Instead he ponders around grunting from time to time. Lexi Alexander who directed the football hooliganism film called Green Street also takes her place in directing Punisher: War Zone. Now, as iv'e seen Green Street i new i wasn't going to be impressed with War Zone.

The direction and multiple close-up shots are repetitive and soon decline into a state of boredom. Acting wise it's absolutely poor. From it's fast talking foul-mouthed opening to it's generic conclusion, the acting is awful. The villain, played by "The Wire's" Dominic West is unsuitable and completely clichéd.

Verdict:

An uncompromising look at one of the worst films made to date.
