For me this movie started out bad, but it got better has it went along. I heard this movie was bashed by many critics, simply saying it was bad, unfunny, and very predicable. But I found this movie entertaining, yeah at times it was predicable, but still was entertaining, not the best, but not the worst.
Nia Vardalos is charming in her role, yeah she does not get high laughs, but she plays a character that is likable and you pretty much feel for. Now Richard Dreyfuss pretty much stole the movie, any scene he was in, he upstaged everybody, you end up thinking this movie is more about him and less about Vardalos character. The rest of the cast are alright, Alexis Georgoulis,Harland Williams, and Rachel Dratch are amusing at times. The scenery of Greece pretty much takes on a life of it's own.
But like I said it was not all great, but not all great bad either. See this movie for what it is, not for what it isn't.
