Warning: Spoilers
I saw The film Walled In last night, and thought that i was a good horror film. It is about a young engineer Samantha Walczak, who on the day of her birthday she is assigned by her father to do a structural analysis of an eight-floor building. One hundred and twenty units are located in the middle of nowhere and they require demolition. Sam finds four tenants, having received the eviction notice, but are still living in the building, the caretaker Mary and her teenage son Jimmy, Burnett and lady Denise. Mary lets Sam stay in apartment 208. The room is already furnished as the former people who lived there have never collected their furniture. Jimmy becomes friends with Sam and advises certain "rules" to be done. Sam is haunted during the nights by ghostly noises and discovers that the building has dreadful secrets. She investigates further and finds that the architect, Joseph Malestrazza, built the place following the work of the Egyptian pyramids. Twelve years ago, one worker walled people in, including Mary's beloved husband, entombing the victims in cement. I thought that the ending could have been a bit better but is was a good film.
