This episode sees Wallander and the Ystad police investigating the death of a horse breeder who's body has been found by two young girls. Initially it looks like he was just kicked by a horse but unsurprisingly they soon discover that he was murdered. Once the cause of death has been established they must establish a motive; did he owe money to people? was it a robbery gone wrong? had he behaved inappropriately with the young girls? or was it something else altogether? As is expected in this genre there are many suspects most of whom seem more suspicious than the person we finally learn did it. We also have a subplot where Kurt has got involved with a woman he met when he nearly hit her while out for a drive.
As with the other episodes in the series the acting is fine both from the regular cast and the various suspects.
