Hugh Grant and Sarah Jessica Parker star in a dumb but occasionally funny rom-com bomb called Did you hear about the Morgans.Not many people did. Because it bombed.Did you hear about the Morgans,for me,was a disappointment. I love Hugh Grant. And Sarah Jessica Parker can be delightful too. But the movie,at times,is rather dumb.Though I didn't hate it nearly as much as the rest of the world.
They play The Jefferies.No,duh,they play the Morgans,a Brroklyn couple on the brink of divorce.One night when they are arguing, they witness a murder yada yada yada they end up in Wyoming under the Witness protection program.
The film has a slow start. And a bad one too. And the climax is dumb also.Very corny and predictable. But the two of them don't do a bad job. And I laughed from time to time. But the movie is obviously flawed.
This is not the best of Hugh Grant's work. Or really the best of any of the stars' work. But some of it is kind of fun. I just wish that Hollywood could just come up with an original screenplay with something just... original. Like a romance starring Stanely Tucci and Jenine Garfulo(that's not how you spell her name).For now, we'll just have to deal with the Morgans.I'm sure it's better than some of the other crap they have come out with lately(Though i'm sure It's complicated is good).If you are trapped in on a snowy or rainy day and all you have to watch is Did you hear about the Morgans,or if you're looking for something... Oh I don't know, dumb, then did You hear about the Morgans won't be a bad option.
