Nha Fala (2002)

Worse than amateur, destroying the essence of what a movie is meant to be
2 November 2010
Warning: Spoilers
A part from the huge amount of goofs regarding the camera angles and repeated plans, this movie shouldn't have turned into a movie.

It's too simple, amateur, fake, stereotyped, with bad and unmotivated actors (well, who can be motivated for such a thing?) and a scenario with a huge lack of real conflicts, with a humble dumb lazy conventional ending coming from nowhere.

The only thing that fulfills a bit the view is all the colors and some music is not bad. Even the 5 minutes in the beginning promess much more than the rest. Why all this beginning with her ex lover following her all around while herself is not really going anywhere until she arrives to Paris. She gets into a church, everyone sings, she leaves them. She looks for her brother, she finds him, the speak a bit, she leaves. She promesses to her mother she won't sing because it's a malediction for women in her family(the movie turns into a weird fiction children argument). But after 1 week in Paris, or maybe a year (no one knows) she sings and becomes famous so easy and quick, she's so glad to announce it to her mother when she comes back in Africa!

Anyway, no point in waisting my time flustering more this "movie", no point for you in waisting your time watching it.
