Incir Reçeli (2011)
7/10
Mournful but full of bias
9 July 2011
Warning: Spoilers
As I first watched this movie, I thought what a great and impossible love story this is. The soundtracks and the song named "Isyan" meaning "Rebellion" which the leading role player Halil Sezai Paracikoglu sang at last part of the movie, when he admitted that he was losing her, were also heart-stubbing. With all the sadness that the movie has printed on me and feeling deeply that the characters are just as one of us, it has earned a place at the top of my favorite movies. But when I recognized the directors point of view about HIV positive patients, most of the first impact of the movie has swept away. He clearly approaches this patients as morbid creatures to avoid, with incorrect information, leading to emphasize the ideas like "if you have HIV, you can't have any carnal relationships". I still recommend this movie but beware of the ridiculous nonsense about the above-named syndrome.
