Quite a good movie
14 November 2011
Well, why "only" seven stars? It's pure statistic average. On one side we have excellent performances by the actors (especially Mr. Cooper in both main roles) and other craftsmen and women involved in the production, and on the other side there are some holes in the plot (possibly filmed but did not make it for the final version) which would put all the pieces together (undefined Saddam's character, Uday's relationship with his mother, Sarrab's hidden motifs, Muslims and alcohol & music, and so on) and make sense. Of course, that way the movie would be significantly longer but it's nevertheless extremely interesting and no one would be bored. There are still many layers missing. I've been really surprised with the quality of the work involved and enjoyed this movie, and so will you. Take the blue-ray version.
