really enjoyed this show. bought the dvds and watched through it several times. i've never seen any of the other gundam series but this show made me want to check them out. the two highlights for me were that the battles here are really entertaining, and the characters really work and it's always interesting when they're killed off or have disputes with each other. the only negative things i have to say about the two big pluses are that there is a lot of noticeable recycled footage during many of the battles and i was disappointed that the conclusion of the kira/sai/flay relationship just kind of fizzled out at the end as to me, it was the most compelling in the show. i always felt sai should have died instead of tolle. highly recommended for anyone looking to get into a fairly intelligent anime with entertaining action, a compelling story and engaging character arcs. there is a follow up series call gundam seed destiny that picks up where this one left off but i feel that it's not quite as strong. it essentially tells of another war but we follow from a zaft ship's point of view. good but i think the characters are more interesting in this show.
