Phil is getting ready to go see the L.A. Lakers in action. He stuffs his jacket pockets with candy he will eat at the game. Claire has arranged for a family portrait for the afternoon. Claire asks Phil to try his new white pants. Everyone is going to wear that color. She is in a quandary because everything has to be perfect for the shoot. Claire realize the staircase shot is in danger because Phil neglected to fix one step. Since she has a deadline, Claire decides to undertake the repair job, which turns out to be a disaster.
Phil arrive at Jay's. Alex is going instead of Luke who has an assignment for school in which he must interview people that lived in the 1960s, to get their perception of what it was to live in that era. Gloria is going to the game instead of Jay. Manny is also going. As they arrive at the arena, Phil is surprised to see Kobe Bryant close enough to talk to him. During the game, couples are spotted and shown on the screen inside a heart emblem. As the camera turns to Phil and Gloria, they try to ignore the request, but eventually, they must kiss, something that is watched by Claire, who is not amused.
Meanwhile, Cam has an engagement singing Ave Maria at a wedding. He leaves Mitchell alone with Lily. As he leaves, a pigeon enters the house and Mitch goes bananas because he is afraid of the bird. He hides in Lily's room, but he must go to get her the milk. Trying to shoo the bird away, Mitch wrecks the living room throwing things to the pigeon.
Claire changes the setting for the shoot to her father's home. Her house is a mess as well. Getting everyone together turns out to be quite a job. Luke, who is accident prone, has been wrapped in plastic to protect him from getting dirty. The photographer is ready to take the pictures in the patio, but the sprinkler system makes it almost impossible. Luke is sent to turn the water off. The group is not cooperating, so Jay decides he's had it. Exasperated, he throws some dirt on Claire's white blouse, she counter attacks by throwing dirt on him, which triggers a chain reaction. Gloria manages to stay clean, but Claire decides her revenge is to smear her with dirt on her sexy white dress.
