Warning: Spoilers
After the duel surprises of Athena shooting the Six and the base star jumping away with the president, half of Galactica's vipers and several key personnel in the previous episode I was expecting this episode to feature a confrontation between the Colonial forces and the renegade Cylons; instead it dealt with the problems left behind in the fleet; Athena finds herself back in the brig for her actions but more importantly with Laura Roslin missing Vice President Tom Zarek automatically gets the top job; the council want answers but Admiral Adama refuses to have any dealings with Zarek. Lee realises that a compromise president must be found; one for has the respect of the fleet but is also able to deal with the admiral. To help find the right person for the job he employs Baltar's former lawyer Romo Lampkin. Many names are suggested but for one reason or another they are unsuitable... until Lampkin comes up with the obvious solution. There are changes happening on the military side of the fleet too as Adama steps down from command so that he can wait for his friend Laura's return without endangering anybody else... even though it means he has accidentally put a Cylon in charge of Galactica.

This wasn't the most exciting episode of the series but it did have some good moments and by delaying the discovery of the president it raised the tension of the series over all. The picking of a new acting president could have been a bit boring if it hadn't been for the return of the excellent Mark Sheppard as Romo Lampkin. There were some interesting questions raised when it was suggested that Tigh and impregnated the captive Caprica Six; either somebody else has been visiting her or the theory that Cylons can't breed with each other is incorrect. After this I expect things will get more exciting fairly quickly as the series approaches the long mid-season break.
