Warning: Spoilers
When you watch a SRK movie nowadays, frankly you don't expect much of from him. Al you expect is a superstar embracing his heroines and making some entertainment. This movie brings out the actor in him , like Swades,Chak De India, My Name Is Khan.

Jab Tak hain Jaan isn't a groundbreaking brilliant film, but it does move ahead of the peppy melodramatic romances of bollywood these times. It silly yet mature, weak yet strong. The acting of all the three actors saves it from being downfall. This is a GOOD movie to watch this diwali, if you are not looking for crap comedies or action makers.

Samar Anand is the Bomb diffuser who would refuse to wear protection jacket for some unknown reasons. Akira a 21 year old woman, who wants to work for discovery channel with "instant make out-instant break out" relationship attitude and who wants to have "sex with different nations guys" comes across this introvert, rugged "soldier" and goes deep into his past.

The story flashbacks to 2002 when an Indian struggler meets a high society girl Meera and gradually falls in love with her, and in due time she reciprocates her feeling. A road accident changes the course of the film and Samar and Meera get separated from each other. In obsession of breaking a certain faith returns to India and becomes a fearless bomb diffuser, where he has diffused more than 90 bombs and yet he isn't scared of death.

Akira falls for him, and pursues him for his story for her discovery channel. Slowly Samar and Akira get involved with each other by befriending, for some professional purpose of Akira's documentary Samar has to return to London where the movie takes a turn till the climax.

The negatives of the movie: it has some scripting flaws, lengthy , somewhat predictable in some places.

Positives: A good twist in the movie, Anushka Sharma's acting, Shahrukh Khan's acting, music of A.R Rahman, and some good direction done by late Mr. Yash Chopra.

The moral of the movie lies in the fact that genuine love remains unbroken even if it is at the cost of separation or anger.

overall 7.5/10. i am going with 9/10, because of Yash Chopra's demise
