Kay Frances and Lillian Tashman play professional party girls,everything except sex.These days most professional escorts might include sex ,but they are charging strictly for companionship.Alan Dinhart hires them to entertain his business clients.It's one day that Kay starts to get bored and wants to quit,get married and have a family.Her room mate Lilian discouraged her.She's a real gold digger.It wasn't Until they get together with two clients, A business man ,played by Eugene Palette , and his lawyer, played by Joel McCrea,that Frances starts to fall in love with him. Lillian Tashman being a gold digger, Gets Eugene Palette,who's a tight wad , to buy her a lot of Jewelry. She's later confronted by the wife,played by Lucille Gleason,Who's going to divorce him because of his being tight.Sounds like a typical tax cheating millionaire. But only finds out that his wife still love him and Lillian decides to help her over come his tight wad attitude.Frances has fallen in love with Joel,but can't marry him, cause she is still married to another man,played by Anderson Lawler, whom we later find out that hes' been divorced from Frances for Years.He consent to a divorce,but later blackmail's Joel for 10 thousand dollars.He thinks France is a gold digger.She's determine to pay him back ,Joel.With the help of Lillian, Frances has an auction of her expensive clothe to her acquaintances. She later discover why her husband blackmail her.He had divorced her years ago and remarried and has a child. That's why he need it.This was a very sexy movie for 1931.Very Risqué ,of that time,By 1934 corp catting Hollywood would appease the political religious right of the time,for the sake of their greedy profits, Hollywood,ending movies like this.Would t.c.m. show it?Yes this is the type of classic they would show.But typical of big corporate firms.They don't believe in quantity,or what we say variety of classic films.GREED!They might show it. 12/5/12
