Give Us A Clue was a program of good wholesome fun. Not a computer in sight - the wit of the workings out was purely down to the participants. I particularly enjoyed the Christmas Eve episodes which gave a healthy warm up to the social gatherings at that time of year. Fond memories, in particular of the Christmas Eve 1980 episode when I was staying on a farm in Meavy Devon and the whole household joined in spontaneously. Few TV programmes seem to have that effect now. We were also treated to the talents - unscripted - of some television names whose skills often lay in other theatrical departments. This must have been a pretty difficult show for the director to work with as the outcome was so unpredictable.
