7/10
A solid B movie with a clear theme

Warning: Spoilers
If you look at the poster and are looking for a war or action movie, better move along. There is no real violence until about the 3/4 mark of the movie. Also, if you are looking for acting (other than John Heard) then keep moving along, cause you won't find that here either. Ohh yeah, and when the action does come it about as poorly shot as a 80's cop show.

With that said, I did enjoy the movie. What is there to enjoy in a movie that has poor acting, and action? Well, it is somewhat cathartic. I did feel the rage against Wall Street and feel the egos of those responsible for pain big company execs caused millions of people.

While this is not a well directed movie, there are numerous poorly cut scenes, and odd directorial choices, it is a well told story. You feel for the main character (Duminic Purcell), and the assortment of B (or B- ) actors are fun to watch as they get ancient (Edward Furlong, Keith David, Eric Roberts). As the problems pile up the audience starts to see the troubles the 'little guy' faces, and there are some touching moments between of friendship and family.

When the action finally does get going, the movie has kind of run its course and it is less than satisfying. We know there is going to be a blood bath, and we know it can only end in one of two ways – neither of which is going to really make sense – it doesn't.

So you may ask why I give this a 7. Well, sometimes you have all the ingredients for a good cake and it flops. This is kind of the opposite. This should be a terrible movie, bad acting, directing, poor action that devolves into a silly plot. And if you look at it piece by piece it is. But, with that said, I enjoyed it. Just remember, you are not watching an action film, just one with a clear thesis: Wall Street is Voldemort, Satan, Sauron and Hitler all rolled into one. Maybe I agree.
