Yuri and Kei; officially called 'The Lovely Angels' but known by all as 'The Dirty Pair' are back for ten more adventures! People who watched the original series will know what to expect but on the off chance that some people will be coming straight to this: Yuri and Kei are two trouble consultants working for World Welfare Works Association (3WA) and they are renowned as much for the destruction they bring as the crimes the solve on a variety of planets. Each episode is a separate story and there is no over-arcing plot so it doesn't matter if you watch the episodes out of order. As before the two girls go in to action in rather skimpy battle bikinis although they have now changed design; both girls where white now.
If you enjoyed the original series I'm sure you'll like this too; the episodes are of a similar standard overall although some are better than others; I thought episode four, where they tackled a group of children who had gained control of a dangerous weapon was a low point. That said there were more great episodes than bad. The animation was of a decent standard although some of the music was a little grating loud electric guitars during all the action scenes seemed very dated. I prefer my anime in Japanese with subtitles but as that wasn't available I watched it dubbed and thought the English voice cast did a pretty good job. If you like classic anime with plenty of action then I can heartily recommend this.
