Director takes a lot of time in introducing the plot and the lead actor..there were almost 20 long gursome minutes before Akshay was introduced. The good thing about the movie is that Director Anthony D'souza has rightly kept romance away from Akshay Kumar The story is nothing new. Its more like a combo of Rowdy Rathore,Singhan and Dabangg. I am not afraid to point out that the film which I am guilty of enjoying marginally, has only a wafer thin plot to its credit. The script invests heavily in its larger than life hero, Boss played by Akshay Kumar. Carefully and quite persistently the script diverts our attention from the loopholes of the plot and its continuity hitches, to ensure enough that its mistakes to escape our attention. The commonplace story uses Bollywood's most used vintage formulas of family drama, an evil brother of the heroine and misunderstanding between a father and a son! What I don't understand is why was there a song for Aditi Rao Hyadri and Shiv Pandit. It wasn't needed at all..Song placing is awful in the movie. There are times when you will laugh on the lame jokes. You will like the nicely done action…yes there are a couple of good run sequences at the end of which you will think Akshay will say "aaj kuch toofani karte hai" . Performances Although Akshay does his part of the job just fine, there is nothing new that we see here. It's like the same old Akshay Kumar in just different costumes and avatars. His dialogs and punch lines are just getting aren't exciting any more. I actually liked Ronit Roy's acting as a bad cop! I can only assume that talented and likable actors like Ronit Roy, Danny Denzongpa, Sanjay Mishra and Mukesh Tiwari had a few mortgage loans pending so when the call came in for a big budget South remake starring 'Akki', they zoomed towards the auditions

Bottom line: Boss expects you to laugh in the face of amazing stupidity. The jokes would struggle to make a guy like navjot singh laugh. The highlight of the film is a joke where Boss saves a woman and bestows his brotherly affection towards her by naming his truck 'Behen ki lorry'. Seriously, I wonder how a human being would fund this sort of humour. Maybe the producers would pay me if I point and laugh uncontrollably at the first name of the film's action director: Anal Arasu.

So at the end, I will quote a dialog from the movie- "Ghaav to Wo Bharte Hai Jo Shareer Pe Lage Ho. Ye Ghaav Toh Mere Aatma Pe Laga Hai." I will give this 4 on 10 with a recommendation to watch if you haven't seen Rowdy/Dabangg/Singham
