Not Scary--Wrong Title
1 November 2013
Warning: Spoilers
"Hunting Season" starts you off, by title, as if this could be a horror/action film. The only action in this film is in the last 15-20 minutes so if that's what you're looking for then skip ahead. Perhaps it was attempting to make this realistic with a ghostly supernatural aspect to it, and if it was: it failed. The problem I had with it overall is that it's just so boring. When it presents a mystery it does it in a boring way; example: when she's trying to figure out what happened to her mother and supposed father (they died in a brutal murder) they show her researching, they show the emotions on her face and that's it. It doesn't give you a hint of what she found and when you find out you're not really interested, at least I wasn't.

The acting isn't bad but none of the characters have memorable lines. The quality of the film isn't bad but seems wasted with this cliché story. There's some nudity but it's uneventful, nice, but uneventful. It's watchable but not scary. Quite boring, actually.
