Review of Camp

Camp (I) (2013)
9/10
I praise this movie for what it did achieve: to give hope

After reading the description, I dreaded watching the movie 'Camp' (2013) that it might be too much for me to handle. I tried to avoid watching it but curiosity overpowered me. The message of this movie is so tangible you will not regret investing 109 minutes. I enjoyed this film and ended with tears in my eyes in several occasions throughout the movie because of how sincerely life-changing an ordinary summer camp can be and the change a team can make in an abused child's life. The performance was adequate however, there was room for improvement. The plot might have been developed further to cause the impact it was shooting for. I recommend this movie to the whole family especially to preteens. It presents the crude reality of many children and the work of unsung heroes in their lives. This production was a great investment. I praise this movie for what it did achieve: to give hope.
