Imagine That (2009)
7/10
Ignore The Hate, not as bad as people say

'Imagine That' centers on the relationship between a workaholic father (Eddie Murphy), and his daughter, Olivia, whose imaginary world becomes the solution to her father's success.

It's nice to see Ronny Cox with Eddie Murphy again, though whilst Cox has aged a great deal since Beverly Hills Cop, Murphy seems almost ageless. Martin Sheen has a small role as is as reliable as ever.

Following on from the failure of 'Meet Dave' and 'Norbit', it appeared audiences only wanted to hear Murphy in 'Shrek' movies, and not actually see him.

For me Murphy should have won the Oscar for Dreamgirls and it could have, no should have, led to a fine dramatic career, but sadly those roles never came.

It's a typical family movie, and if you take it for what it is (a family movie with a message) you will enjoy it to some degree. Whilst it does not have any real laugh out loud moments, the movie made me smile at times and has a real harm about it.
