Warning: Spoilers
This is seemingly a simple story of a fugitive and his wife. However as the title suggests, The 2 faces of January (Janus being the roman God of transitions seeing past and future) would like to be more than just a chase story.

Spoilers ahead: While centering around a cunning tour guide, the issue is more about the syndrome of Oedipus: a mature couple the MacFarlands are guided by young Rydal who fancies the woman and sees his father in the face of the man. As Oedipus' curse, his finishes in making out with the first and being responsible of the death of the second.

As the myth, I like that the story takes mainly part in Greece. On the background, there is this is beautiful depiction of old Greece, with people, cars and places exactly the way they were at that time. On the front there are these characters seemingly unimportant who the fate seem to play like puppets driving them in more and more dangerous paths.

I suggest you to watch it
