Guns, Girls and Gangsters

Warning: Spoilers
As far as I know, that's one of the first - if not the very first - french crime flicks, in those early fifties, speaking of female gangsters speaking in slang, and carrying guns, as real men did. This movie seemed to have great success in its time. And that certainly explains that after, many more features starring gals as gangsters were made. Such as for instance MADEMOISELLE ET SON GANG. But I am not a specialist of this kind of comedy crime french movies from the fifties. Too many of them, and most of the time rather lousy. Only interesting for the atmosphere: Paris Pigalle and Montmartre districts. In this film, a waitress is abducted by gangsters and her pals go on rampage to release her. A women's film, with chicks as men's characters. I have always liked this. Unfortunately, this remains more a comedy than a drama. The final fist fighting between girls and gangsters is particularly amazing, Worth watching. Just to be believed.
