I was not sure what to expect with this film other than I expected it to be well-done given that Steven Soderbergh was the director. My assumption proved correct.
Since this is a mystery/thriller, I cannot discuss much for fear of giving away the plot, but I can say that there are enough twists in the movie to keep you guessing, that the actors all give good performances although Catherine Zeta-Jones may be slightly miscast, and the film is well shot. Sure there are a few flaws in the story and the viewer needs to suspend disbelief some (e.g., some of trial scenes and the behavior of the lawyers), but overall the story rings true (even though not probable). But overall, this is a smart thriller that exceeded my expectations.
