It's shot on a beautiful island...that's it
21 March 2015
This was a big disappointment. After seeing the excellent Nisos, I was expecting something similarly funny and witty, but this is definitely not in the same category. It feels like an (overlong) advertisement for holidays on the Greek island of Sifnos. And the location is about the only thing they have in common.

The plot is very thin: A guy, living on one island is getting married soon, picks up something for the wedding on a ferry, is trapped in the toilet, the ferry leaves for another island, he risks missing the wedding. On this new island now, he tries to get back, with a woman, who was also on the boat, helping him. As I don't want to spoil anything, I will leave it here, but you can probably guess where this leads to.

With good actors or dialogues it could have been interesting. But rarely does anything here make sense, the romance part is ridiculous and I just couldn't care about any of the characters. It is a pity, because there were one or two people in there who I usually like. The most annoying thing however, is the soundtrack. You'll hear the same track over and over again, it sounds like the tracks that are pre-installed on a keyboard for kids.

If you want to watch something genuinely funny with beautiful island scenery, watch Nisos.
