This was on TV so i decided to check it out... i am a fan of really low budget films, especially the ones which are so bad that their good. This is definitely one of them. It's low on the list, but it's one of them.
If you go into this and take it too seriously you probably wouldn't enjoy it. If you want a sequel to James Cameron's Titanic, its not that either. It should be treated as a bit of fun...
The special effects are hilariously bad, with terrible CGI and awfully chroma keyed composite shots. The acting is a tad bit iffy, especially from the extras. In one scene the passengers are so panicked that they can't even run to the lifeboats without falling over. It's over the top, which every action movie should be. We have a strong male lead who at the start seems a bit of jerk but actually becomes likable as the move goes along. One of Titanic II's redeeming features was the excellent music, it was dramatic and emotional. It really helped to set the scene, when the actors, story and special effects couldn't.
If you liked Poseidon or similar movies, you may like this. Just don't take it too seriously.
