There's a German guy shouting gibberish all the time which gives you a headache and makes the movie really cringe-worthy and difficult to watch. Yes there's still the gore but it feels like an eternity before you actually see it. What's more it's set in a prison full of hardened criminals (who become the centipede) which makes it harder to sympathise with any victims. There's less suspense than the first movie because it focuses less on the victims. Also being in a prison means you automatically know no character will believably escape, meaning a good chunk of suspense is just thrown away. In summary I'd avoid at all cost, the original movie did the job much better. It feels like too much effort to watch.
