I hoped for more

Warning: Spoilers
This is "Human Body", a German 17-minute short film from slightly over 10 years ago. The writer and director is Tobias Frühmorgen and he worked on a couple short films between 2000 and 2008. However, since then he has not come up with anything new, so he may have given up on filmmaking. But he is still young, so who knows. When he directed "Human Body", this film here, he was not even 30. The main character is a doctor, who seems to have severe struggles himself. Maybe this is what this film should have entirely focused on instead of his patients. They could have kept it at 10 minutes, but it may have been a more focused movie this way. The story about the little boy or the patient early on, were not too memorable. Very early on, we see the doctor looking at a glass window at his patients in a way as if they were lab rats. Well.. he certainly does not have the last laugh at the end. All in all, it's nod a bad film by any means, but it's also not as good as I hoped it would be looking at the rating here, even if the lead actor does a solid job. Not recommended and it isn't doing Kafka's work justice I have to say.
