"The vain chamber maid" is another slightly erotic short film by Austrian director Johann Schwarzer from his very prolific period between 1907 and 1910 before dying in World War I. It runs for slightly over 3 minutes and basically shows a naughty chamber maid who keeps undressing more and more. It's a strange little movie, obviously silent and black-and-white. I have no clue what was going on with the woman lying there either. She did not seem to care at all. In the end another man, possibly an artist appears and gets angry at the naughty chamber maid. I cannot say I enjoyed this short film really. It was pretty pointless and I wish it would have been shorter. That says a lot for a film with such a brief runtime. Not recommended.
