Amateurish and rarely successful

Warning: Spoilers
I really hope that "The Real Ghostbusters" are not actually the real ones because they simply aren't very good. This is a 44-minute movie from 4 years ago and it obviously based on the famous Bill Murray starring franchise. This short film recently rose a bit to prominence again as well when it became known that a 3rd Ghostbusters film is in the making. Hopefully that one will be better than this one here written by, directed by and starring Clint Orr. There is a reason why almost everybody involved with this movie does not have a really prolific body of work. They are simply not talented. Also I did not like the obviously politically correct decision to make one of the Ghostbusters a Black guy. He adds almost nothing to the film and hardly ever says something. The Ghostbusters go against the Boogeyman in this one and are confronted with their fears. I am not really sure how the main characters relate to those from the famous movies as I have not seen these, but the way they are depicted here I also do not really feel motivated to watch the feature films, especially the guy with the glasses was annoying. The only somewhat entertaining thing was the one with the married woman the Ghostbusters have to protect, maybe because of Katie Causey's good looks. All in all, a weak film and certainly not as funny as they try to be. Not recommended.
