Story of a sleepy guy

Warning: Spoilers
"La légende de Rip Van Winkle" is, as you may have guessed correctly from the title already, filmmaker Georges Méliès' take on the character Rip van Winkle. Hardly anybody has heard of Rip today, but back in the very early days of filmmaking, this Washington Irving character was the big deal and included in so many films. This is one exception where Méliès' take on the subject may not have been the most famous one. But the most memorable thing about this one here from 110 years ago are certainly the colors. It is still a silent film of course and the version I watched ran for roughly 14 minutes, not just 10 as stated here on the movie's profile page. An okay watch for silent film lovers, but everybody else can do without it. Méliès has many more memorable movies in his body of work. Not recommended.
