Review of Heist

Heist (III) (2015)
7/10
Gloriously Campy and Hilariously Clichéd

Warning: Spoilers
I had a lot of fun watching Heist otherwise known as Bus 657. It dug up just about every action movie cliché and delivered them under a tongue and cheek magnifying glass. Let's be honest. If you're going to take this movie seriously then it is awful, just a pile of nonsensical doo doo; but if you just want to have a bit of fun and have some laughs when someone sitting in a pile a gasoline lights a cigarette without the fumes exploding or when a big speech is made about how they can't kill a cop so they let the crooked cop go and then in the very next scene kill like five cops--if you can lol through those moments instead of taking it seriously then this movie is a sheer blast. Even the pregnant woman looks a bit like Sandra Bullock making this nearly a perfect Speed parody. And Gina Carano's acting is so terrible, so utterly crappy, that you just have to believe it's intentional. I mean, it's sooooo bad that it's hilarious. Here's the thing. If you are the type who is going to get nit picky about every plot hole and developments that make absolutely no sense, then this movie will probably send you into a fit of rage; but if you go into it knowing it's pure mindless entertainment you're going to have a few good chuckles.
