Review of Wallander

Wallander (2005–2013)
9/10
Interesting Crime Drama with Some Nice Twists
17 November 2015
A mentally challenged man, who thinks Sitting Bull was his father, ignites a pipe bomb in a bank, after demanding money from the tellers. There is little logic to his actions, but because he is eccentric and slow, it is passed off as the actions of an "idiot." As Wallander and Linda, his daughter and colleague get involved, there are all kinds of tentacles leading to this event. For one thing, a prominent cardiologist has been sending 2000 Krona a month for years to this man's mother (she has died recently). For another, there is some sort of astrological connection involving star charts and dates. But there is an even bigger mystery unfolding (which I will leave to the viewer). If I have a criticism, it might be that the conclusion is a little light on reality. Still, this series is really growing on me.
