Max Skladanowsky was the very first German filmmaker, probably the only one in the 19th century. "Akrobatisches Potpourri" is one of his movies that were edited into "Wintergartenprogramm" later on. This one here runs not even for 30 seconds and shows us the Grunato family, apparently a circus attraction back in the day. I must say I could never be able to do what they do and it's a pretty decent show. Still, it's nothing too memorable really, but it was probably a special achievement to have this scene on tape 120 years ago. That is why I will not be any harsher with my rating, even if this is not on par with what Méli?es did during that time already. All in all, not among the best and not among the worst movies from the 19th century.
