Depicts a heroin addict as happy and healthy.
7 December 2015
This was a well made film and I believe the intention behind the film is genuine, one that is seeking what the makers feel is justice. However, I'm not sure anyone who made this film has ever loved or deeply known a heroin addict. I have. An active heroin addict is not a healthy, happy person. An active heroin addict with a child who has a history of being removed from their home and what appears to be an impending divorce is most definitely not happy. With 30 approaching, being terribly addicted to heroin leads to a person who does not like to look in the mirror anymore. This does not mean he committed suicide, but it troubles me Cobain was portrayed as so happy, so healthy, when any longterm drug addict knows they've burnt endless bridges, wasted too much money, lied to and deceived every person they care about. And as far as being "suicidal" one thing a drug addict knows above and beyond anything else is that they might not die today but they are slowly killing themselves regardless.
