So-So Horror
7 January 2016
This is a horror anthology containing 4 segments. In between the segments a librarian/historian named Julian White (Price) tells a reporter stories surrounding the town of Oldfield, Tennessee. The reporter is interested in finding more about White's niece who was sentenced to death for several murders.

The first story is of a (crazy) man that is taking care of his mentally ill sister and he falls in love with his boss, a younger woman. Things turn deadly and become more bizarre. This one has a weird ending which I was not crazy about but I enjoyed the story until then.

The second story is about a man who is running from gangsters - he is shot - and a strange mysterious man heals him of his wound. I liked this story and the ending.

The third story is of a witch who owns a carnival. She has powers over all that work for her. One carny, a glass eater, is in love with a woman out side of the carnival. The witch does not like it and will show both of the lovers the extent of her powers. I was not trilled with this story nor it's ending.

The final story is of civil war soldiers that did not realize the war had ended... they found out it was over and ended up in Oldfield where a strange group of orphans were living. The orphans have no intentions of letting the soldiers go. This one was fairly good segment.

Over all it's not too bad of a movie - but certainly not Vincent Price's best movies although his performance is good as always.
