"Les jeux des anges" or "The Game of the Angels" is a 12-minute animated short film from 1965, which means it had its 50th anniversary last year. The director is Polish filmmaker Walerian Borowczyk, but you already recognize from the title that this is a French production. But don't worry. There is no audible dialogue in this film, so you won't need subtitles no matter where you are from. But then again, do you really want to watch it. the first half of the film was completely uninteresting and irrelevant and the second half was only slightly better. The 4 stars out of 10 is still fairly generous and I believe this is probably a contender for Borowczyk's worst, at least from what I have seen. Luckily, it was over fairly quickly. After reading the film's plot description I must say that this must have been a very ambitious project. But sadly, almost none of it got fulfilled. Thumbs down. watch something else instead.
