Good Series, with some serious flaws

Warning: Spoilers
I enjoyed this, although I did find the lack of historical accuracy irritating at times (the real story is quite exciting too). The characters were interesting however and I can understand why the story line was changed to allow more drama. I am glad too that the women who worked on the project or were there as support also had good parts.

It is a real shame a third series was not commissioned - it would have rounded out the story.

One thing I really wish I hadn't heard - I cannot think of a single British person who would say "We have no quarrel with the Japs" as one of the characters says after Germany fell (series 2 episode 8). Of course we had a quarrel with them - the Americans were not the only people fighting the Japanese and they were not the only people who suffered terribly at their hands. Change the details of history for the sake of a good story is grand, but continuing myths like this one is hurtful to the veterans of the UK who were fighting in Burma and elsewhere or starving in Japanese death camps.
