An Honest Review: Bizaardvark

Warning: Spoilers
Back when I first heard advertisements for this show on the Disney channel, I thought it was going to be a terrible show. I gave it a chance and watched it, and I can definitely say that my thoughts were correct.

This terrible show is about two girls named Paige and Frankie who go to this place called "Vuuugle" after they reach 10 000 subscribers on a site called "Vuuugle". Doesn't this plot seem very similar to another television show? Yep, this show is a blatant rip-off of iCarly, obviously created by two businessmen wondering what would appeal to kids. "Hey, YouTube's popular, let's make a show about that."

The comedy in this show is horribly un-funny. The first joke they try to make in the show is a song about how the two protagonists love a blob fish. "HA, IT'S FUNNY BECAUSE BLOB FISHES ARE UGLY, HURR DURR!" No, it's not funny, it's dumb. Then the next joke we get is a science geek saying some words that the seven year old audience wouldn't understand to insult Paige and Frankie's sense of humour. "HA, IT'S FUNNY CUZ HE'S A NERD, HURR DURR!"

There's way too much stereotypes and clichés in this show, just look at the characters. Paige and Frankie are weird and nobody at their school understands them. Dirk is the dumb jock. Amelia is the spoiled brat who thinks she's better than everyone. And Bernie is the pathetic character who always gets hated on despite having no reason to be hated on.

The actors/actresses aren't even remotely good at their jobs. The actors for Paige (Olivia Rodrigo) and Frankie (Madison Hu) get on your nerves very quickly and always sound like they want to die. Dirk (Jake Paul) is a vine star. I would say enough said, but it's surprisingly not enough. He always talks in this annoying deep voice and always shouts at the camera. Amelia (DeVore Ledridge) is always trying way too hard to make her character sound bratty that she in turn sounds very annoying. She's also trying way too hard to be a young Kaley Cuoco, who plays Penny in another show I despise. Finally, Bernie (Ethan Wacker) always sounds way too excited, even when he's supposed to be sad, and he gets on your nerves very easily.

So that's my honest review of Bizaardvark. The point of this review is to tell you to avoid this show like the plague. Good bye.
