I stumbled across this short "boy meets girl" film yesterday, and I must have watched it 100 times by now.
This is a black and white animated movie. The animation is crisp and the characters are beautifully rendered. It is mostly silent, so there is no witty dialogue to memorise and repeat later. It is funny, touching, and poignant all at the same time. For a film with no words, it still manages to tell you loud and clear that, "Love is magic."
I must also praise the accompanying score. The music gives this movie its heart. It's beautiful, moving, and uplifting music which will have you grinning like an idiot as the movie rapidly approaches its climax.
If you're a hopeless, daydreaming romantic, this movie should be somewhere in your collection, on your mobile phone, your laptop, external hard drive, cloud account, everywhere. If you're having a bad day, this is a 7-minute long mood elevator.
