Might Be Nostalgic for Parisians
20 November 2016
In Paris, the lonely assistant makeup artist Chloe shares her apartment with a homosexual. When she needs to travel, she asks him to take care of her beloved cat Gris-Gris but he refuses. Chloe seeks out someone to take care of her cat and she meets Madame Renée that offers to take care of Gris-Gris with her cats. When she returns, Madame Renée explains that Gris-Gris has fled. Chloe searches the neighborhood and finds solidarity with her neighbors.

"Chacun cherche son chat", a.k.a. "When the Cat's Away" is a nice film with a pointless story that might be nostalgic for Parisians. But the screenplay is boring with excessive unfunny gay scene. My vote is four.

Title (Brazil): "O Gato Sumiu" ("The Cat Vanished")
