School girl report at the office

Warning: Spoilers
"Erotik im Beruf - Was jeder Personalchef gern verschweigt" or "Eros in the Office" (and there are a handful other alternate titles for this one) is a West German movie directed by Ernst Hofbauer and written by Günther Heller. If you know a bit about older German films, then you may have heard of these names already, especially of Hofbauer as he is (in)famous for all his sex-themed comedy movies that always posses a bit of a pseudo-journalistic character. And this also fits very well when it comes to describing these 85 minutes. If you have seen any of the many "School Girl Report" films, you know exactly what to expect here. This film is a collection of short films basically that all take place at the office or at least have a connection to the jobs of office workers and in-between these segments we get to see a couple interviews in which people in the street are asked random questions, like what if your man would cheat on you with his secretary or alternatively stuff like if the female interviewees would enter into an affair with their boss. The answers to these questions are as absurd as promiscuous and I have no doubt that it was all scripted, all the answers they give etc. So yeah, the journalistic component is absolutely non-existent and it is impossible to take the film seriously from that perspective. Now about the short stories. Most of them are pretty disastrous to watch. The acting is bad, the plots do not make any sense at all and the possibly worst component is that the pornographic scenes are not even aesthetically pleasing. Besides, once again like with the interviews, this film takes itself much more seriously than it has any right to as one story is even pretty tragic towards the end. But this is not dramatically convincing at any point. or convincing from a comedy perspective. or from any other perspective. This film is a pretty big failure and it is impossibly to find any reason for me to recommend it. The only somewhat good thing is maybe that unlike with the films from the series I mentioned earlier they did not have to cast grown-up actresses as school girls this time. But yeah, stay far far away from watching this one. It is as crappy as 90% of Hofbauer's body of work.
