Review of Sing

Sing (2016)
7/10
Pretty serious for an animation
28 February 2017
This sure is a feel good movie with some real depth in it. People pursuing their singing dream is no new topic, but when it is in the form of an animation, and all characters are animals, it suddenly gets a lot more watch-worthy. I love how this movie aim at all age group, not just children in particular. I even think that adults would appreciate this more as it talks about some serious problems when one insist on following his dream. Just like others have stated, this bears lots of similarities with La La Land, but more unreal, thus more satisfying for us audiences. One last point I would like to mention is the bomb cast! I was blown away when I found out Witherspoon, Egerton and Scarlet Johanson could sing that well. They sure added lots of charms to this cohesive piece.
