The show which started Saved by the Bell

Warning: Spoilers
I didn't watch the show in my childhood although I did watched Saved by the Bell. And I was curious to see this short prequel happening in Jr High that was the beginning of a very famous show from the early 90's.

It was surprisingly pretty good. The idea of it was very similar to Saved by the Bell. Of course the target audience are children and this is how I rated it. I think it was a great show with humor for young kids showing them adventures in school and providing a valuable lesson each time but not in a persisting, lecturing manner that would have turned them off.

The cast is pretty good. It is surprising that Miss Bliss didn't make it over to Saved by the Bell. She was a great character and a very nice teacher. It was also surprising that Lark Voorhies and not Heather Hopper made it to the next stage because Nikki was a much more interesting character than Lisa with her breaking nails. Wasn't that her only "joke"?.

Also a nice bonus is the original pilot that had an absolutely different cast. It is just fun for seeing the teen stars in their beginning who went on doing completely different projects. A sort of historical episode for the 90's TV fans.
