I saw "Girls Trip", starring Regina Hall-Vacation_2015, the Scary Movie movies; Queen Latifah-Miracles From Heaven, Taxi; Jada Pinkett Smith- Gotham_tv, the Matrix movies and Tiffany Haddish-The Carmichael Show_tv, Keanu.
This is a girls-can-be-as-raunchy-as-the-guys comedy. Kind of like Bridesmaids or the more recent Rough Night. Regina, Queen, Jada and Tiffany are old college friends that haven't seen each other in about 5 years. Regina is married and a successful author that is professing that a woman can do or be anything she wants and can have it all-her husband is also her business partner. On a book tour, she thinks it would be great to get the Flossy Posse-their college nickname-back together so she invites the girls to tag along and party at the Essence Fest in New Orleans. During their partying, secrets are let out and friendships are tested to the limits. Oh yeah, there are lots of music cameos at the Essence Fest-I could tell by the hoots and hollers from our audience on the ones I didn't know. I must say that Tiffany was my favorite of the girls. She was hilarious-wait until you see the grapefruit scene. It's rated "R" for language, drug use and crude & sexual content- including nudity-and has a running time of 2 hours & 2 minutes. I would buy this on DVD.
