Review of Jagga Jasoos

Jagga Jasoos (2017)
6/10
Too Many cooks spoil the broth
26 July 2017
Warning: Spoilers
It could be a great movie without added gags, songs and tributary elements. Touching too many genre within a film is it's biggest flaw, added with character and story inconstancy. Like a detective character and movie turns to a adventure movie, or irritating songs at the time of breaking a suspense. and unnecessary tributary sequences like names and sequences taken from Satyajit Ray's works which takes our mind away from the story. And I hated the children film treatment as protagonist is up to kiss an elderly lady, solves love triangle murder mystery and a ridiculous double headed villain introduced at last. The takeaway from this movie is outstanding cinematography, a otherwise good story( which is executed badly with the urgency to sell this story to everyone ) and great acting from most of the leading characters, specially Saswata Chatterjee.
