Egos abound in this episode that sheds light on more of House's obsession with doing his job, whatever the cost... to himself or to others. "It's what pushes medicine forward..." I found the musician's doctor to be rather flat and clichéd. The typical "young, successful type" guaranteed to make the sort of people rooting for House annoyed. Besides that rather uncharacteristically poorly written role, the story was another excellent outing for one of the most curmudgeonly, ungracious heroes on TV.
