Very little beyond the famous characters

Warning: Spoilers
"The Death of Salvador Dali" is an American 18-minute live action short film from 2005, so this is one is heading straight to its 15th anniversary and it is the first career effort by writer and director Delaney Bishop and taking this rookie status into account, it is a decent work. But by general standards, not so much. The only castg member known here to large audiences is dancer Dita von Teese and she is also the only one receiving awards recognition for her efforts in this movie. It is about Freud meeting Dali basically and what happens when these two legends (in their respective fields) collide. The acting is tolerable all in all, but not too great either and the plot and story did not feel remotely memorable to me. The dream sequence with the dominatrix reference makes this film look deeper and more intelligent than it actually is eventually as it is rather on the pseudo-intellectual side in my opinion. Overall, maybe check this one out if you really care for one of the two big names in here, otherwise skip it or you will most likely be as underwhelmed as I was watching this one. I give it a thumbs-down. Not recommended.
