A Cult Classic To Me,One Of The Most Quotable Films Of The 90's For Me. Big Nostalgic Love For This Film.
24 August 2018
First off yes i loved the first film, but this bank robbing vampire Horror B-movie is exactly what it wants to be & that's a trashy sleazy Low rent action Horror sequel set within the From Dusk Till Dawn universe set up by Robert Rodriguez & Quentin Tarantino!!!

This sleazy low-rent direct-to-video sequel is a damn blood-soaked Masterpiece in my eyes. After i got an ex-rental video of Texas Blood Money i literally watched it every night that summer. I miss those times, the beautiful easy-going 90's & early 2000's, a time when video stores ruled. Honestly Texas Blood Money is one of my all-time favourite films, a film that is ridiculously entertaining & ridiculously quotable, hilarious & action-packed. A pure B-movie delight. The music is Awesome, the cinematography is excellent in all it's low-budget colourful quality & it's a damn good Crime Thriller & an Action Horror movie all at the same time. The camera movement's & angles are mind-blowing, ridiculously creative for a small flick like this.

Texas Blood Money gives me big Nostalgia as when i think about this horror thriller classic i think of hot summer nights & up late watching this constantly on video.

Robert Patrick was cemented as my favourite B-movie actor after this flick & is genuinely one of my all-time faves anyway. Texas Blood Money boasts Patrick's best movie character ever with Buck. Blood Money is a time capsule for me, a piece of Awesome late-night entertainment that i was obsessed with for years & still it's one of my favourite movies of all-time. I actually prefer this rough & ready cheap sequel to the Classic first film. Veteran character actor Danny Trejo (Anaconda, Desperado, From Dusk Till Dawn, Machete) is great once again & the whole cast is pure B-movie greatness even including Bruce Campbell (Evil Dead Trilogy) & Muse Watson (I Know What You Did Last Summer 1&2, The Last Exorcism part 2) & Raymond Cruz (Alien Resurrection, Gremlins 2, Clear & Present Danger, The Substitute, The Rock) & Duane Whitacker (Pulp Fiction) & Bo Hopkins (Mutant, Nightmare at Noon) a decent cast of great "Character Actor's" Bo Hopkins is excellent as Sheriff Otis Lawson & starred in the very similar movie Nightmare at Noon.

Texas Blood Money stinks of style & filled with frantic bloody action sequences & so much Cool dialogue. My favourite Vampire film too. To me Texas Blood Money is the perfect Cult movie. Major Nostalgic love this fun film.

This came out in the late 90s when i was obsessed with anything Horror & was always watching the Evil Dead films & Tales from the Crypt & Demon Knight & From Dusk Till Dawn & Romero's Dead films & so much more so Texas Blood Money fit into my Horror obsessed world perfectly at the perfect time & i was in love with this dirty & dusty action Horror.

Texas Blood Money is not a mega budget movie with shiny stars, oh hell no it's a blood soaked action packed Vampire Horror flick & at that it's absolutely excellent, that's thanks to it's extremely creative Director Scott Spiegel who has worked with Sam raimi on his evil dead films, among other stuff in the Horror genre so scott knows crazy bloody Horror.

Texas Blood Money was a film i watched hundreds of times when i had it new on ex-rental video, it was a late night movie that i loved just as much as the classic first film!!!

It's ridiculously underrated & yet it's so much fun & action packed. Buck Bowers, played by the excellent but underrated Robert Patrick is my favourite character in the From Dusk Till Dawn franchise/universe, Patrick is an excellent B-movie action hero just like Ron Perlman, Robert Forster, William Sadler & Tom Atkins among others!!! He has a great screen presence & is a very good underrated actor!!!

Robert Patrick is one of my all-time top 6 fave actors along with: Will Smith. James Belushi. William Sadler, Roy Scheider & Robert Forster.

I was obsessed with the first From Dusk Till Dawn so when my big bro came home one day with Texas Blood Money that he had just rented i was so excited & it lived up to that excitement & then some!!!

My mind was blown even more so when the legend "BRUCE CAMPBELL" came into it at the beginning, yes it was just a small cameo but my god it was so awesome to see "ASH" here lol as i was a mega Evil Dead nut too.

Robert Patrick was Excellent in this gruesome sequel as Buck the main robber & i was a huge fan of his from alot of his low budget straight to video action films, he made an excellent & rare lead. The whole cast of robbers are all excellent in their roles especially, "Raymond Cruz" as "Jesus" that guy is another underrated gem of an actor!!! The music is Fantastic throughout this action packed Horror & fits perfectly into the cool as hell criminal world created by "Tarantino" & "Rodriguez" in the classic first movie.

This excellent sequel is ridiculously underrated, it's a gem in my opinion & i have as much love for this film as i do the first!!!

Robert Patrick is excellent & you want him to survive & the vampire fx are amazing even though this is a low budget straight to video movie!!!

This is also action packed & funny as hell too just watch the motel scene with the gang hanging out watching porn lol great fun.

This fun Horror Thriller has a nice blend of humour & violent vampire action & has that low budget sleazy feel of those late 80's early 90's straight video thrillers & i love that about this flick & the clever camera angles & shots are fantastic by director Scott Spiegel.

Texas Blood Money is perfect late night entertainment with action & humour.

Robert Patrick created a great character in Buck Bowers & my favourite of the franchise.

Robert Patrick comes accross as a sort of Clint Eastwood or James Dean type of rugged Flawed anti-hero in how he looks & just how damn cool he is.

Buck is even way better than Seth (Clooney) in the classic first film as With seth he was acting tough & hard all the time & being mouthy to the point of being abit of an idiot lol but still a cool character but got nothing on Buck Bowers as with Buck he didn't have to constantly act hard he was more smarter & aware of what's going on around him instead of mouthing off & being loud.

Another good thing about Buck is the fact although he's a robber a criminal he's not evil he still has a moral code as seen when he's distressed at Luther killing the bank guard as he knows that was completely unnecessary & wrong & would only bring them more trouble!!!

Also Buck is a quiet observer & came to the conclusion that his team of robbers are now vampires himself.

Although he's a tough criminal he's still willing to believe in the supernatural.

Buck Bowers is a great Horror genre character who i wish we saw more of in another Dusk Till Dawn movie but it obviously never happened but i did write some fan fiction for him when i was young & was watching From Dusk Till Dawn 2 on video every night & i tried to carry on his story after he got away in the car with all the money so yeah I'm a huge fan of the basically/really just a throwaway straight to video character but Robert Patrick elevated the character off the page & made him rugged & smart & Cool as hell so i love Patrick for his performance as Buck & made me a life long fan since.

Maybe i looked way to into his character & maybe it was just luck he came accross so cool & maybe was never intentional but either way Buck Bowers stood out to me way above most Horror movie characters & became a great to me just like Bruce Campbell as Ash from the Evil Dead franchise & Tom Atkins as Dan Challis from Halloween 3 season of the witch.

Anyway i do have lots of Nostalgia for this sequel as that summer of "99 i watched this low rent vampire flick over & over & i treasure those memories being up late at night watching Robert Patrick fight vampires it was so cool.

If you can look past the low budget straight to video reputation this sequel has you will enjoy an action packed blood soaked little cult film full of humour, blood, excellent demonic vampire fx,insane camera angles, great music,a great cast & lots of fun.

Texas Blood Money is perfect late-night night entertainment.

I genuinely enjoy little B-movie Horror's like this & Texas Blood Money is one the best ever made in my opinion.

For Robert Patrick's greatest work check him out as Agent John Doggett in The X-Files series 8 & 9.
